Innocence is a Subjective Faith It's just like it sounds. I'm outside of my belief-bubble. The question is, do I want to go back in? Can I go back? Does belief have a limit? Curiosity certainly tests our limits. Belief...is scrutiny; it's an egg shell. Don't live in a shell if you're afraid of the dark. Belief is an eggshell. Do you see the majesty? Intelligence is a curious field of study. “I have a question."
Life blesses us with opportunities to fill the gaps of those imprisoned by indecision. Why does a question set the stage for people to summon the might to SHATTER the fourth wall when they detect the innocence of a person breaking their silence?I’ll tell you why.Everyone’s a fuckin comedian. It’s like open mike night without standards raising expectations.Truth is a no-risk-comedy that forgives it’s lack of humour with the consolation of highlighting what we all agree with. That truth is highly subjective because everyone is in denial over the prospect of their life experience not resonating with anyone. That’s what laughter is, there is a concession that your life experience matters less or more than mine. The difference is somehow amusing. Problem is, when I ask a question…I don’t need a laugh, I need the truth.A good one.Answers project wisdom more the less empathetical your delivery.Almost like, the person asking the question should know better to ask sages (answering your little questions) suffering a great deal of inconvenience; though they respond like clockwork. Why?It’s an audition to matter. If you don’t believe you matter, you have to compare your life experience against others. If you (reader) believe I matter, I would grow dependent on your faith (in me). That offers me security because it’s a game of numbers.Your faith collectively (in me) that I matter is my security to say whatever you are afraid to say (to avoid consequences to your job and your family). My faith in you (that you matter) is your security to accept what I say (regardless of criticism) matters to you; even when you disagree with what I choose to share.
I only know I matter thanks to your support, but truth has proven security (not humour) is my priority. Why?Humour is dangerous—well…great humour is.To me you matter more than humour. You don’t have to audition with me.You matter.Take it from me.I am an audience of one.Stop auditioning with your indifference, no one else is paying attention.Empathize with the innocence (of a question) because it’s not weakness if you learn from it.Don’t be afraid to empathize.Maybe you have no innocence left.
You can’t empathize without innocence because you’ve gambled it all away in exchange for awareness. That’s why we look to the “innocent” to be our (false) prophets.Innocence is a subjective faith because its worth depends on what helps us matter. If your prophet is not innocent, you don’t matter. I suspect the motivation for forgiveness is to restore the collective's status.Everyone is in denial over the prospect their life experience not resonating with anyone. Why?Too afraid to ask a question and confirm if the response will reveal wisdom or laughter. What’s the question?“Is my (false) prophet innocent?” Innocent lives matter.
Like I said, everyone is a comedian.Am I funny to you? Then take this article as a consolation.
